A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Laboratory of Cancer Epigenetics (ULB – Université Libre de Bruxelles) headed by Prof. François Fuks.
You will be expected to conduct cancer research in epigenetics and epigenomics. Specifically, you will investigate the mechanisms and functions of a novel epigenetic modification. Genetic, biochemical and cell biological as well as genome-wide approaches (e.g. RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, Infinium Methylation) will be applied. The lab is running a Next Gen Sequencing Illumina platform and is part of the ULB-Cancer Research Center (U-CRC).
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology or related subjects (or have recently submitted their thesis with their defence scheduled). Candidates are required to have a broad experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques. Previous experience in epigenetics is an asset.
The position is funded for 3 years by F.R.S.-FNRS (Fund for Scientific Research). Screening of applications begins immediately and continues until an outstanding candidate is selected. Flexible starting date.
