The Control of Stem Cell Potency group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for postdoctoral candidates to apply for the “Ayudas para contratos para la Formación Posdoctoral” (Juan de la Cierva) call from the Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Modeling hypertrophic cardiomyopathies using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS).
Requirements for candidates:
- PhD degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or Pharmacy (defense date must be after September 2009).
- Previous experience cell culture and molecular biology.
- High level of English.
- The selected candidate is expected to apply for the “Ayudas para contratos para la Formación Posdoctoral” competitive call.
We Offer:
- Administrative support to apply for the grant.
- Possibility to join an international high quality interdisciplinary research centre.
- Full time, two year employment contract (in case the grant is obtained).
